How to Apply

Four residents match into our residency program each year, and residency appointments begin on June 23 each year. Subsequent appointments at each advancing level are contingent upon individual performance.

Application Requirements

Applications for positions will be processed electronically through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and include:

• ERAS application
• Curriculum vitae
• Medical school transcripts
• USMLE and/or COMLEX transcripts
• Personal statement
• At least three letters of recommendation
• Medical Student Performance Evaluation

An interview is required for appointment to the program. Interviews are offered by personal invitation following a comprehensive review of application materials.

For the 2026-2027 residency interview cycle, Northwestern Urology will offer in-person interviews only. Interviews will be held on November 18^th, 19^th, and 20th. Discounted lodging is available on first come basis. Additionally, rooming with a northwestern resident might be possible.
