Research

The Department of Urology's research program ranks #3 among all urology departments in the country in National Institutes of Health funding. Multi-dimensional, interactive and highly transformative research programs provide the foundation for the Department's strong research standing.

Richly diverse, these programs include basic science research programs in angiogenesis, bioengineering, benign prostate diseases, prostate cancer, chronic pelvic pain, nanotechnology, sexual dysfunction, genetics, infertility, renal cancer, urinary tract infections and clinical outcomes research.
