Antonio H. Chaviano, MD

Assistant Professor

Dr. Chaviano is an attending physician at Children’s Memorial Hospital and Assistant Professor of Urology at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. His clinical concentrations include pediatric urologic reconstruction, hypospadias, hydronephrosis and fetal urology. Dr. Chaviano attended medical school at Rush Medical College, subsequently completing residency training at the University of Chicago Hospital and Clinics. Following residency, Dr. Chaviano completed a fellowship in pediatric urology at Children’s Memorial Hospital.

In addition to membership with numerous esteemed urologic associations, such as the Midwest Pediatric Urology Society, Society for Fetal Urology, Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons, and the American Association of Pediatric Urologists, Dr. Chaviano is active in medical community service.  He is a member of both the International Volunteers in Urology and the Global Health Partners, working with the latter to coordinate surgical relief missions to El Instituto de Salud del Nino, Lima, Peru (December, 2001), Children’s Hospital of Nicaragua, Managua, Nicaragua (2004 – 2005), and a surgical mission to Hangzhou, China (August 2006).
