Our physicians are renowned experts with advanced training, and our facilities have the latest equipment, enabling us to provide the best care available. Our faculty includes 30 full-time members (including 5 full-time laboratory researchers), 5 part-time members, 62 contributed service members (community physicians on our faculty), 2 retina fellows, 1 pediatric fellow and 12 residents. Quality patient care and state-of-the-art vision science research play a major role in our mission. Our residency and fellowship programs are among the finest in the country. Our clinical and basic science researchers continue to make major contributions to the understanding of medical diseases and disorders of the eye and our ability to treat them. We offer a full spectrum of eye care for all ages. Services range from diagnostics and treatment to complete surgical intervention, including ambulatory services at Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation, Children’s Memorial Hospital, the VA Chicago Health System and inpatient care at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH), a premier academic teaching hospital.
