Alumni Dues and Donations

We have enjoyed a productive and good year in the Department of Ophthalmology and look forward to a better one this year. We are looking forward to see many of you at this fall’s Alumni Dinner during the Academy. Our department continues to grow and our current residents are becoming excellent ophthalmologists under the guidance of our outstanding faculty.

To continue our growth and development and train some of the finest ophthalmologists in the country, we rely on your support. You can help us in two ways. First, please send your annual alumni dues of $25 to the address below. These dues support guest speakers, special events, and training programs for our talented residents. Secondly, we are excited to report that we are updating the Shoch Resident Library. For it to be most useful, we would like it to be current with advances in our specialty field and contain the latest editions of the best ophthalmology textbooks. We invite each of you to include a separate donation of at least $100 for this expansion of the Shoch Resident Library, which will serve our residents as a much-appreciated and valuable resource.

We are also planning an evening to be remembered in San Francisco this October at the 2009 American Academy of Ophthalmology Annual Meeting. Our reception will be held Sunday, October 25th from 7:30pm to 10:00pm at the Westin San Francisco Market Street (Cornell Room), located at 50 Third Street.  There will be plenty of appetizers, desserts and a complimentary beer and wine bar.  We look forward to seeing you there.
