Biography
Dr. Dennis West is the Vincent W. Foglia Family Research Professor of Dermatology and the Director of the Dermatopharmacology/ Clinical Research Program at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. He is also a Professor for the College of Pharmacy at the University of Illinois at Chicago, a Chair for Administrative Review for the Institutional Review Board for the Office for the Protection of Research Subjects at Northwestern University and a Lecturer for the MD/PhD Program in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Catania, Italy. He received his M.S. from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy and his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Pacific Western University in Louisiana. Dr. West is an internationally known expert in dermatopharmacology, particularly in the area of percutaneous absorption and systemic and topical therapy for skin disorders. He is the new Dermatology Chair for the USP DI (United States Pharmacopeia Drug Information).
