Each faculty member in the department of Physical Therapy & Human Movement Science is actively involved in research. Together these research interests cover a broad spectrum of physical therapy and human movement science. Faculty members collaborate across multiple disciplines in their role as researchers including biomedical engineering, neuroscience, orthopedics, pediatrics, rheumatology, emergency medicine, physical medicine & rehabilitation, public health, neurology, pulmonology, genetics, health economics, speech language pathology, and pain management.
The diversity in background and expertise among our faculty helps foster a robust research environment that encourages students and colleagues alike to work toward finding innovative and unique rehabilitation interventions to help individuals with movement disorders.
