i2B2 Feasibility Query Tool

Informatics for Integrating Biology & the Bedside (i2B2) is a web-based tool that allows scientists, students and staff to develop and run simple queries against a subset of data in the Northwestern Medicine Enterprise Data Warehouse. This gives users the ability to quickly determine the feasibility of conducting a study.

Using i2b2 lets users look for the number of patients that have been diagnosed with a disease, had a procedure, meet certain demographic criteria, had a laboratory result and were prescribed to a medication. Currently, only these variables are available to be searched.

The i2b2 system is available to all Northwestern University investigators and affiliates. Access i2b2 from the Northwestern University network or VPN. For questions about results or help using i2b2, please contact i2b2@northwestern.edu. Visit the i2b2 system site, developed by Partners Healthcare, to learn more.
