Video & Media Services

Custom video and media support is available for teaching, learning, and special projects at Feinberg.

The Video & Media Services team partners with faculty and internal collaborators to plan, design, and produce custom video content that supports education, communication, and innovation. Final products range from high-touch, full-production projects to consultative support for asynchronous teaching and lecture recording.

If you have an idea, even an early or unfinished one, we encourage you to reach out. The best results come from starting the conversation early.

What We Do

Special Projects, Photography, & Full-Production Video

For projects that require intentional planning, creative development, and dedicated production support, our team offers full-service video production.

These projects often involve:

  • Photography, including class headshots and group photos
  • Educational or training videos
  • Promos for programs, departments, or initiatives
  • Patient education or outreach content
  • Custom media projects that don’t fit a standard template

We collaborate with you throughout the process, from early concept development through filming, editing, and final delivery. Because these projects require coordination, time, and often a budget, we strongly recommend contacting us early in the idea phase to discuss scope, timelines, cost and feasibility.

Asynchronous Teaching & Lecture Recording Support

The team consults with faculty and course teams who create asynchronous learning content, including lectures recorded for Panopto.

This work is more flexible and often consultative. We can help with:

  • Planning asynchronous lecture sessions
  • Best practices for recording and presentation
  • Deciding when to use the Remote Teaching Studio or Lightboard
  • Improving clarity, pacing, and overall video quality
  • Scheduling studio time and understanding available options

Many asynchronous sessions are recorded independently by faculty, but a short conversation with Video & Media Services can significantly improve the final result, especially if you’re new to recording or want to refine your approach.

Tools & Spaces You May Use

Depending on your project, the team may recommend or support the use of:

  • Panopto for recording, managing, and sharing lecture content
  • Remote Teaching Studio for multi-screen, stand-up recording and live annotation
  • Lightboard for dynamic “writing in the air” explanations and visual teaching
Not every project needs a studio or advanced setup. Part of our role is helping you choose the right level of production for your goals.
