Elliott, Executive Director of OSR, Retiring

Bruce Elliott, PhD, the executive director of the Office for Sponsored Research (OSR) at Northwestern University, has announced his plans to retire at the end of the year. 

The director of OSR’s Chicago office since 2003 and executive director since 2010, Elliot has helped improve clinical trial agreement negotiation times and developed numerous policies and procedures related to the review, submission, and oversight of sponsored projects during his time at Northwestern.

In addition to helping secure a substantial increase in sponsored project funding, Elliot has served as the University’s administrative representative to the Federal Demonstration Partnership and has been active in the Council on Governmental Relations, National Council of University Research Administrators, and the NIH Commons Working Group.
