Faculty Profiles

Offices across campus feature faculty on profiles and websites designed to reach different audiences. Become familiar with the sites that feature you and periodically review them for accuracy.

 Feinberg Faculty Profiles

Your Feinberg Faculty Profile is the primary tool for documenting your career accomplishments and publicizing your work. The Feinberg Office of Communications uses your faculty profile as the single source for all biographical and professional information about you on Feinberg websites and maintains a searchable database of faculty profiles useful to a variety of audiences. Having an accurate and robust faculty profile helps you:

  • Stand out to prospective collaborators, mentees and media
  • Inform donors and funding organizations about your work
  • Focus search results to the most trustworthy content (because it’s provided by you)

Data that appear on your profile are imported from a variety of sources. View the Quick Reference on Feinberg Faculty Profiles for an overview of the content and to learn how to make updates. You can edit much of the content directly by logging into the Feinberg Faculty Portal, which is also accessible by clicking the Edit My Profile link on your profile.

The People Directory contains contact information for faculty and staff of Northwestern University. You can update your entry by logging into the myHR Self Service Portal using your university netID and password. Then click on Personal Details > Online Directory. This information does not display publicly, but is used for aggregate reporting on the diversity of the faculty.
