Funding
Sponsor: Feinberg School of Medicine Dean’s Office

Intended to support new applications, preferably to NIH, that involve at least two faculty members from outside the home department of the principal investigator.

Funding
Sponsor: Office of Research Development
Interim funding to continue federally funded research projects that have a demonstrated likelihood of continued federal funding pending resubmission of a grant proposal.
Data Collection, Management & Analysis
Sponsor: Northwestern University Institute on Complex Systems (NICO)
Provides support for the use of data science approaches that will advance the research and career of PIs and/or trainees, will increase the likelihood of extramural funding and/or will increase Northwestern’s external visibility in data science.
Funding
Sponsor: NUCATS

Designed to accelerate research by providing rapid, targeted funding to address small but critical gaps in clinical and translational research work that is not currently funded by other sources.

Sponsor: NUCATS Institute (via Center for Community Health)

The Alliance for Research in Chicagoland Communities and the Practice-Based Research Program seed grants are offered for investigators and community-based collaborators to develop research partnerships and projects.

Data Collection, Management & AnalysisFunding
Sponsor: NUCATS Institute
Allows young investigators to obtain feasibility or early pilot data in order to seek sustained funding. The expectation is that once these projects receive external funding, the external grant will fund subsequent project work by the NMEDW.
Funding
Sponsor: NUCATS, Northwestern Memorial Foundation
Provides funding to support original and innovative clinical and translational research. Ideal prospective proposals should challenge existing paradigms or clinical practice, explore an innovative hypothesis or address critical barriers to progress.
Sponsor: Center for Community Health, IPHAM and NUCATS

Supports the full spectrum of community-engaged research by facilitating community partnerships, delivering capacity-building workshops, providing one-on-one technical assistance, administering seed grants and advocating for supportive institutional policies.
