Northwestern Evaluators Among Invited Faculty at the American Evaluation Association Summer Institute and European Evaluation Society

June 21, 2022

Several Northwestern Evaluators led invited workshops on national and international stages last week.

Gregory Phillips II, PhDDylan Felt, and Esrea Pérez-Bill hosted two workshops on Theory, Practice, and Praxis for Liberatory LGBTQ+ Evaluation at the American Evaluation Association’s (AEA) annual Summer Institute.  All three were selected to lead training sessions on topics ranging from cutting edge theory-based evaluation approaches, qualitative and quantitative analysis methods to best practices for successful LGBTQ+ community engagement.

Leah Neubauer, EdD, MA. partnered with Tom Archibald, PhD (Virginia Tech) to train attendees on the Communities of Practice (CoP) framework for monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) at the 14th Biennial Meeting of the European Evaluation Society (EES) in Copenhagen.  Founded in 1992, EES stimulates, guides and promotes the theory, practice and utilization of evaluation in Europe and beyond.  Neubauer and Archibald, long-time critical adult education collaborators, were invited to deliver the CoP training and highlight its implications for MEL and transformative learning.
