These events celebrate the academic legacy of the school, acknowledge student achievement and champion the skills and attributes that define a successful Feinberg-trained physician. Founders' Day: Friday, Aug. 8, at 1:30 p.m.

Founders' Day marks the official opening of the academic year, celebrates the illustrious founders of the medical school and recognizes a rich history of more than 150 years of medical education. Reception to immediately follow in adjoining atria and outdoor courtyard. Incoming MD students will receive ticket information in late spring or early summer. Located at Fourth Presbyterian Church (Enter on N. Michigan Ave. at Delaware Place.)

Three students celebrating match day

Match Day: March 20

Match Day is held annually to announce the results of the National Residents Matching Program (NRMP), which places graduating medical students with residency programs throughout the country. On Match Day at the 157 U.S. medical schools across the country, graduating medical students gather to open their envelopes revealing the location where they will spend their years of residency training. This is a private event. Registration is required to attend.

Graduation: Monday, May 18, at 3:30 p.m.

Feinberg plans to celebrate the 2025 medical school graduates on Monday, May 18, 2026. Our Commencement Ceremony features a commencement address, comments from the selected class speaker, individual recognition for each graduating student and closes with a group recitation of the Declaration of Geneva.
