CPR and AED Training
Chicago Cardiac Arrest Resuscitation Education Service (CCARES) is a community outreach organization founded by George Chiampas. CCARES partners with city agencies, communities, schools, and businesses to educate and raise awareness of the importance of bystander CPR and AED use.
In conjunction with CCARES, DMCEPI has created a Hands-Only CPR and AED Training for Northwestern Medicine and community hospitals and partners. For access to the training and videos, please reach out to the DMCEPI team.
Bank of America Chicago Marathon
Since 2007, Dr. Chiampas has supported the Bank of America Chicago Marathon and Shamrock Shuffle as Medical Director. The Chicago Marathon is a leader and global example in operational safety and emergency preparedness and response in mass event incidents. Chiampas has developed innovative educational situational tracking and communication tools which have led to greater public safety during mass event disasters.
