Why did you choose Feinberg?

Feinberg offered extensive research opportunities and early clinical experiences, paired with a collaborative and welcoming student culture (according to students I had spoken to). I really liked how Feinberg seemed to intentionally help students learn early on what the multi-faceted role of a physician entails. I was also really drawn to the variety of student groups and the capacity for students to provide feedback on different components of the curriculum. The Chicago suburbs is home for me as well, so Feinberg’s proximity to family and friends (and my established fondness for Chicago) was a really important factor.

Tell us about your interests and hobbies outside the classroom

I'm a big fan of chill acoustic music and will sometimes make covers in my free time! I'm also a huge fan of basketball (both playing and watching) and try to keep with the latest movies and TV shows.

Describe your path to Feinberg

As an undergrad, I did research in both nanotechnology and philosophy, and these divergent experiences allowed me to travel abroad and gain new perspectives while meeting amazing individuals around the world. Prior to coming to Feinberg, I also spent two gap years in Boston, working first as a cancer biology researcher at Harvard Medical School and then as a clinical research coordinator and resource specialist at Boston Children’s Hospital.
