Why did you choose Feinberg?

I chose Feinberg for its location, academic diversity, research, and tight-knit community. I was struck by how collaborative NU is - students are quick to share their notes/study advice with one another and faculty mentors will regularly check in with students like me. Classes are always engaging and learning formats are diverse, so I'm never bored by sitting in lectures all day long. We also got to interview patients in the hospital on the second day of class, which is really an unparalleled opportunity and just shows how early on we get to interact with patients in a clinical setting.

What do you enjoy most about living in Chicago?

I love that there's always something cool to do in the city. So far, my friends and I have been attending public jazz concerts in the museum garden, sitting on the beach of Lake Michigan (which is just east of campus) and trying so many cool restaurants. I love running by the lake front trail and walking around Michigan avenue to shop. Chicago also has diverse patient populations with whom I can interact in my ECMH and clinical medicine activities.

Topics I can discuss with prospective students:

  • Life in Chicago
  • Campus Life
  • ECMH
  • AOSC
  • Academic Support (studying, learning)
