My profound interest in medical innovation led me to major in biomedical engineering and minor in computer science, a slightly different path than most incoming M1s. My long-term goal is to be a practicing clinician that integrates medicine with the realms of engineering and business. Feinberg's premier research coupled with the opportunity to pursue an MD/MBA through Northwestern's prestigious Kellogg School of Business truly made my decision easy when picking where to attend medical school.

Why did you choose Feinberg?

I specifically chose Feinberg because of the people and the ability to be in clinic since day 1 through shadowing or ECMH. Mentorship has been a huge part of my educational career and Feinberg excels in making sure each student is surrounded by a well-rounded group of mentors who can guide you to succeed in medical school.

What do you enjoy most about living in Chicago?

The food and the people. I grew up in a very diverse household with Italian and Spanish influence so it is safe to assume that I love eating good food. Having grown up in the Miami area, I looked for a medical school that not only would provide me with a great education, but also give me the opportunity to explore life outside school in a city with extraordinary food. Additionally, the people are extremely nice and who wouldn't want to be surrounded by such people during such an important time of your life.

Topics I can discuss with prospective students:

  • Life in Chicago
  • Campus Life
  • ECMH
  • Academic Support (studying, learning)
  • Student Organizations, Affinity Groups (please see list above)
  • Master of Business Administration (MD/MBA)
