My primary clinical interests are in eosinophil- and mast-cell associated diseases.
Academic Focus
My lab's primary research interest is on Siglec-8, a receptor expressed on human eosinophils and mast cells, how it signals and functions, what are its natural sialoside ligands, and whether it can be leveraged as a therapeutic target. Regarding the latter, we have generated Siglec-8 knock-in mice for preclinical studies of Siglec-8 biology and targeting in mouse models. Clinical Focus
My primary clinical interests are in eosinophil- and mast-cell associated diseases, including hypereosinophilic syndromes and systemic mastocytosis. I am also interested in anaphylaxis and other allergic diseases.
