Focus of Work
I have been a practicing Neonatologist with Lurie Children's Hospital since 2006. I have been practicing at Central DuPage Hospital since that time and now I also practice at Delnor Hosptal and also serve as the Lurie Site Leader for Neonatology there. I grew up in the western suburbs and currently live there with my wife and 2 children.
My research interests have included persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn and the inflammatory response of neutrophils. I have led quality improvement projects including Newborn Thermoregulation and involvement in the ILPQC Golden Hour Initiative.
I am a full-time provider of neonatal care at the level 3 NICU at Central DuPage Hospital, the level 2E SCN at Delnor Hospital, and the level 2 ICN at Presence Mercy Hospital. I also participate in the developmental follow-up clinic at CDH for former high risk neonatal patients. Additionally, I am the medical director of the infant transport team at Central Dupage Hospital and helped establish the head-cooling program for hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy at CDH.
