Behavioral and Emotional Development in Early Childhood Study (BEES)

The Behavioral and Emotional Development in Early Childhood Study (BEES) examines physical activity, screen media use, sleep, and social-emotional development among preschool-aged children (3-4 years). The study uses wearable devices and parent surveys to better understand how daily routines and parenting practices relate to early childhood behavioral, emotional and physical development.

Health in Early Childhood Among Asian Americans Research (HEAR)

The Health in Early Childhood Among Asian Americans Research (HEAR) is a pilot study examining physical activity, screen media use, sleep, and social-emotional development among Asian American mothers with children ages 1-4 years. The study included Asian Indian, Filipino, and Korean American families, combining parent surveys with wearable monitoring for children. Findings showed subgroup differences in activity, screen use, and sleep patterns, and highlighted the importance of positive parenting practices for supporting children’s sleep, social relationship development, and overall well-being.

Child and Mother Physical Activity Study (CAMPAS)

The Child and Mother Physical Activity Study (CAMPAS) examines physical activity, sedentary behavior, and parenting practices among preschool-aged children (1-3 years).
