This proposed study will allow us to demonstrate our ability to merge SUDORS, NVDRS, US Census, Vital Stats, NIBRS across multiple states to inform opioid-involved deaths. We will disaggregate opioid involved age-specific death rates for race, ethnicity, sex, and gender over time by intent, geography, and substance.
Global Security Act: Policy Analysis and Measurement

This proposed study will evaluate policy based on their contribution toward the Global Food Security Act goals. We will look at the food security policy's contribution to these goals through a public and political will lens. This study will also measure water security at a household level.

A Randomized Controlled Trial of Geriatric Emergency Department Innovations

To improve acute care for geriatric patients, Northwestern Memorial Hospital implemented the Geriatric Emergency Department Innovations (GEDI) program. GEDI is an integrated, interdisciplinary approach to ED care for geriatric patients; it applies evidence-based protocols to improve ED care and improve transitions from the ED to the community.
Tracking Guns Among Veterans

Dr. Post will provide data analysis for all aspects of the study. She will use VHA data to perform patient and facility level analysis, including using hierarchical modeling and examining clustering of comorbid diseases and conditions and their influence on patient outcome.
