CHIP COVID-19 Response

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, CHIP faculty and staff are mobilizing in support of efforts to monitor and contain the spread of the virus. We are working with health data to inform better decision making while collaborating with our community and clinical leaders to address current challenges.

CHIP’s culture of innovation through collaboration makes us particularly well suited to address needs as they arise. We are part of a coalition focused on identifying how data may be used to close gaps in surveillance, tracking, awareness, and response to the current pandemic. In addition, our research teams are also beginning new projects to visualize and analyze data related to the pandemic. Finally, our clinician support teams are coordinating actions within Illinois and across the Great Lakes region to help clinicians navigate telehealth, health IT, and other issues that have recently appeared.
