Medical Faculty Council (MFC)

The Medical Faculty Council (MFC) functions as an advocate for the medical faculty by communicating with the administration of the medical school and the faculty at large. The council serves as a conduit between faculty members and medical school administrators, providing valuable input regarding faculty opinions and needs to each of the executive associate deans who chair the operational councils.

Women Faculty Organization (WFO)

The Women Faculty Organization (WFO) fosters the growth, development and mentoring of women faculty in the Feinberg. A wide range of networking, mentoring and educational opportunities are available to contribute to successful career development at Feinberg and Northwestern University.

Faculty Senate

The Faculty Senate is the elected and representative body of the Northwestern University faculty and includes one representative from every department and one non-tenure track representative from each school. It considers, makes recommendations and passes resolutions concerning matters of general university interest.

Feinberg Academy of Medical Educators (FAME)

The Feinberg Academy of Medical Educators (FAME) is both a community for medical educators and a central hub for faculty development efforts. FAME’s website hosts a wide variety of resources on various topics within medical education and career development. Examples include lectures, modules, and toolkits for providing feedback, promotion readiness and allyship. Individual and group consultation services are available and include direct observation of teaching and faculty development sessions.

The benefits and services provided by Northwestern University's faculty groups are available to all faculty members without regard to any category protected by the law. The University believes different perspectives, experiences and backgrounds are critical to a dynamic and vibrant University community, and as such, all faculty are welcome and encouraged to join each group.
