The Distinguished Medical Alumni Award

The Distinguished Medical Alumni Award was created in 1998 by then-vice president and dean of the medical school Harvey Colten and is presented annually to recognize alumni whose outstanding professional achievements bring honor to the medical school and merit special recognition.

The Kenneth M. Viste Jr., MD, Student Service Recognition Award

The Kenneth M. Viste Jr., MD, Student Service Recognition Award was established in 2005 by the Medical Alumni Association's National Board in memory of the late Dr. Kenneth Viste, an esteemed member of the Class of 1966 and president of the Medical Alumni Association Board from 1993-95, who passed away in 2005. The award is presented annually to a graduating medical student in recognition of outstanding service to the Feinberg School of Medicine and/or the Medical Alumni Association

Northwestern Alumni Association (NAA) Alumni Medal

Since 1932, the Northwestern Alumni Medal has celebrated alumni who have had a transformative impact on their fields, who have performed exemplary volunteer service to society, or who have demonstrated an outstanding record of service and support to the University. Distinguished recipients—ranging from innovative entrepreneurs and Supreme Court justices to award-winning writers and a Nobel Prize recipient—truly exemplify the ideals of the University through their life, work, and service.
