Bio

Community hospital based pediatrics involving inpatient pediatric care, ER consultations, attendance at deliveries, NNN & NICU. I have been practicing pediatrics in outreach setting for over 15years. I have taught family medicine residents, nurses & students. I am constantly learning up to date information relevant to pediatrics. NLFH site has been involved in multiple QI projects thru the AAP.

Academic Focus

I have been a community outreach pediatric hospitalist for over 15years. I also am the inpatient pediatric liaison for Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital Family Practice Residency, involved in teaching general pediatrics to the residents, nurses & PA students. I am also a NRP instructor. In the past, I have also taught PALs. I have also been involved with Project One as the pediatric physician liaison, changing EMR from Cerner->EPIC.

Clinical Focus

I have been focusing a lot of my time recently on Pediatric Sepsis preparedness for our community hospital building a screening tool, treatment protocol & education for pediatrics. I am also working on upcoming QI asthma project and working to develop a clinical guideline for pediatric asthma at our community site.
