Focus of Work
Dr. Lever is a board-certified pediatrician practicing academic hospital-based medicine at Lurie Children's. She is a member of the Feinberg Academy of Medical Educators (FAME), an honor society recognizing outstanding teaching.
Dr. Lever's academic interests include resident and medical student education, child advocacy, and health care quality improvement initiatives. She co-directs the Pediatric Residency Advocacy & Population Health Certificate Program. She also co-directs the Feinberg School of Medicine "Health & Society" Element, overseeing and coordinating curricular activities related to Health Equity & Advocacy, Business of Medicine, Teamwork & Leadership, Healthcare Quality & Patient Safety, and Lifestyle Medicine.
Dr. Lever cares for patients on the general pediatric inpatient service at Lurie Children's as well as healthy newborn infants at Prentice Women's Hospital. She also provides Convenient Care services and procedural sedation for MRI at the Lurie Outpatient Center in Lincoln Park. She volunteers as a primary care provider at the non-profit Chicago Youth Programs clinic in Lincoln Park.
