Most of the research that I have been involved with through Northwestern University has been in the arena of lower limb prosthetics; utilizing motion analysis to determine differences in component usage. Currently I am working with the Nueral Engineering Center for Artificial Limbs at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago in the "Revolutionizing Prosthetics" project which has been primarily focussed on creating new upper extremity prosthetics components and controls. Similarly, we are also investigating the capabilities of controlling lower limb prostheses with the use of residual limb EMG.
