Description of Interests

My lab is interested in how cell-cell adhesion and differentiation are controlled and coordinated by the multifunctional protein, beta catenin. In particular, we are interested in how the signaling form of beta catenin becomes activated, and how phosphorylation modulates beta catenin's various functions. Molecular insights into the fine regulation of beta catenin signaling and adhesion will be relevant to pulmonary fibrosis and cancers.
