Digital Health and the Changing Paradigm of Atrial Fibrillation Treatment

Medical Alumni Association Webinar: May 3, 2023

Featuring Rod S. Passman, MD, MSCE, director of the Center for Arrhythmia Research, the Jules J. Reingold Professor of Electrophysiology, and professor of Medicine, Cardiology, and Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine

In his presentation, Dr. Passman shares with us the history of wearable heart monitors and the promise they show in improving health and personalizing medicine for those with atrial fibrillation. Dr. Passman also provides insight into the $37 million National Institutes of Health grant awarded to Feinberg for a 100-site, 5,400-patient clinical trial led by Dr. Passman that has the potential to change the way atrial fibrillation —which affects about 35 million people worldwide—is treated.
