Brain Tumor Support Groups

Support Group

Following a brain tumor diagnosis, it may be helpful to connect with others in a similar situation. Many people find that this helps manage stress and provide valuable insights. Our Brain Tumor Support Groups allow patients, survivors, families and caregivers to learn more about brain tumors, share experiences and receive support.

Facilitated by a licensed clinical social worker and advanced practice nurse from the Malnati Brain Tumor Institute of the Lurie Cancer Center, the support groups are open, at no charge, to all brain tumor patients and caregivers, regardless where they were or are treated. If you know someone who would benefit from attending a support group, please let them know we are here.

Malnati Brain Tumor Institute offers three unique virtual support groups to meet the diverse needs of patients and caregivers. We understand every journey is different, so we match participants with others navigating similar experiences to foster meaningful connection and support.

Support Group Schedule:

  • Group 1: First Monday of each month, 5–6:30 PM
  • Caregiver Group: Second Monday of each month, 5–6:30 PM
  • Group 2: Third Monday of each month, 5–6:30 PM

To learn more or find the group that best fits your needs, email BTISupportGroup@nm.org for participation details and meeting information.
