Meet Our Team
I gained a broad skillset in everything from epidemiology to healthcare management. Ultimately, this lead me to consider the broader implications of my academic work during my PhD. Getting my MPH also encouraged me to seek employment outside of academics where I felt I could have a different type of impact.
Communication principles for community work and a fuller understanding of the public health system have both helped me be more successful in my work implementing programs for the child welfare population.
While in training, I loved being able to take what I learned about disease pathophysiology in medical school and directly apply it to local community education planning and global healthcare delivery in my MPH courses.
