Perhaps one of the best parts of attending medical school in Chicago is the vast range of opportunities for relaxation both inside and outside of classes. For example, students frequently enhance their daily exercise regimens by running along Lake Michigan while enjoying the gorgeous view. Others decompress by volunteering in one of the many free clinics all across the city’s different neighborhoods, such as the CYP Pediatrics clinic (featuring many adorable babies!). Feinberg students engage in a wide variety of stress-relieving activities such as acapella, salsa, bhangra, yoga, painting and many more— there is almost certainly something for everyone! We strongly encourage you to experiment with different methods of self-care, and to see firsthand which activities, groups, programs, or organizations work best as de-stressors for you.
