Director's Message

On behalf of the faculty, staff and students of the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine Physician Assistant (PA) Program, welcome to our website. Here you will find a wealth of information about the many educational, clinical and community service experiences available to you as a future student at Northwestern. Founded in 2010, the Northwestern University Physician Assistant Program is the newest clinical graduate program in the esteemed Feinberg School of Medicine located on the University’s Chicago campus in the heart of the “Magnificent Mile.”

We offer a unique, organ system-based curriculum with small-group, Problem-Based Learning (PBL) as the unifying feature throughout the pre-clinical year. We emphasize early acquisition and ongoing reinforcement of clinical reasoning skills, and our students are introduced to their first “PBL patient” on the first day of class. Throughout their time here at Northwestern, our students are exposed to state-of-the-art medicine and learn from leaders across the spectrum of medical specialties.

Our website is designed to be a comprehensive resource for potential applicants, as well as those seeking general information on the PA profession. I hope you find this resource useful as you plan for your future as a physician assistant student. Thank you again for your interest in our program.
