2011-Barrett K. Robinson, MD, MPH Dr. Robinson comes to Northwestern from the Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Massachusetts General Hospital Integrated Residency Program. He began his fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine on July 1, 2008. Though he is passionate about practicing clinical medicine, Dr. Robinson also utilizes his epidemiologic training to conduct research in the areas of abnormal placentation, preterm birth, and obesity in pregnancy. 2010-Whitney You, MD Dr. You started her fellowship at Northwestern in June 2007 and combined with a fellowship at NRSA. Her research is presently focused on health literacy and health disparities with regard to adverse obstetric outcomes. Additionally, Dr. you is doing research addressing causes or maternal morbidity and mortality. She is now a full time faculty member at Naval Base, San Diego.
2009-Francesca Facco, MD Dr. Facco joined the MFM practice at Northwestern in 2009. Dr. Facco’s current research interests include sleep disorders and adverse pregnancy outcomes, and the use of MRI to augment standard obstetrical ultrasound in parentally diagnosed congenital anomalies. 2008- Latasha D. Nelson, MD Dr. Nelson joined the MFM practice at Northwestern in September, 2008. Her research during fellowship concerned the epigenetics of gestational diabetes mellitus. 2007- Emily Su, MD Dr. Su joined the MFM practice at Northwestern in 2007. She is presently the recipient of an American Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Foundation/Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine Scholarship Award for 2007-2010. Her research concerns the regulation of the fetoplacental vasculature in physiologic and pathologic states. 2006- Ann Bryant Borders, MD Dr. Borders joined the MFM practice at Northwestern in 2006. Her research during fellowship, which she has continued as a Women's Health Research scholar, concerns the relationship between maternal stress and adverse pregnancy outcomes. 2005 - Stephen Thung, MD Dr. Thung completed his fellowship in 2005. He is currently on the faculty at Yale. 2004 - Beth Plunkett, MD Dr. Plunkett completed a combined fellowship with the Institute for Healthcare Studies, and served as an assistant professor in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine from 2004 until 2008. 2002 - Loraine K. Endres, MD, MPH Dr. Endres completed her fellowship in in 2003. Her thesis explored the levels of systemic cytokines in patients with emergency cerclage. She is an assistant professor in the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division at Evanston Hospital. 2001 - Susan E. Gerber, MD, MPH Dr. Gerber completed a combined fellowship with the Institute for Healthcare Studies. Her research interests concern the quality of life assessments related to obstetric conditions and the regionalization of perinatal care. Her thesis is titled "The Impact of Managed Care on Perinatal Deregionalization." She is an assistant professor in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. 2000 - William A. Grobman, MD, MBA Dr. Grobman completed an MBA at the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University and completed his MFM fellowship in 2000. He is currently an associate professor in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine and the fellowship director for the Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship program. |
