Research

Simpson Querrey Institute for Epigenetics looks to understand the effects of environment on the activation and expression of genes. We approach this pursuit through a variety of fields. Our members are experts in biochemistry, molecular genetics, computational biology, fundamental biology, epidemiology and clinical medicine to develop foundational insights about how environmental conditions impact the human genome using sophisticated molecular, biochemical and computational methods.

We work in close collaboration with other Northwestern centers and instititues, including the Center for Genetic Medicine and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University.

Core Facilities

Cores at Feinberg foster innovation through instruments and services in centralized facilities. Our membership use and sometimes hold leadership positions in those facilities that support our work. Learn more about these cores via the links below.
