TL1 Training Program

Our training program is a TL1 award funded by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (TL1DK132769). Chicago KUH FORWARD cultivates the next generation of innovative and collaborative researchers across Chicago to accelerate research within kidney, urologic and hematologic (KUH) disease areas.

The foundation of Chicago KUH FORWARD research training is an intense, cross-disciplinary, mentored research experience that will yield scientific products, leading trainees to accumulate publications, submit individual grant applications and present their work at national scientific meetings. Trainees will also have access to networking and outreach opportunities as well as many professional development resources to help them prepare for a scientific research career focused on basic, translational, or clinical KUH research.
