The Center for Advanced Microscopy (CAM) is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to support imaging research at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. CAM supports light microscopy, electron microscopy and image analysis. Annually, we support 700 users from ~300 laboratories across multiple disciplines and research environments. This training position is designed for scientists who are ultimately seeking a career in core facilities. The initial appointment is for one year with the option to renew for one additional year.

The fellow will not be performing independent research. 

The postdoctoral fellow will focus on training how to support users in a core facility environment. This includes training to be able to perform consultations, basic and complex imaging workflows and image analysis. The fellow will be expected to participate in core-led teaching opportunities, including workshops and seminars. The fellow will also be exposed to opportunities to evaluate instrumentation and interact with industry representatives and core facility operations.
