The Department of Urology has a longstanding tradition of education and care related to urologic cancers of the bladder, kidney, testis, and related organs.
Our residency includes dedicated time (PGY3 and PGY6) to urologic oncology, and biweekly conferences to all urology students on the Chicago campus. The department also is committed to developing patient education and community awareness about the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of urologic cancers to share through our affiliated care sites.
Faculty members care for patients through Feinberg-affiliated hospitals and care sites. For Urologic oncology patients, we pursue a multidisciplinary approach to the evaluation and management with recognized experts specializing in each branch of cancer care. The integrated approach with input from all related services allows for the formulation of an appropriate treatment plan individualized for each patient based upon tumor stage, medical condition, and patient preferences.
