The City of Chicago is the third largest city in the United States and the heart of a metropolitan area of over 8 million people. Chicago is nicknamed “Second City”, which refers to its traditional status as second to New York City; “Chicagoland”, popular today with local media; and “Chi-Town” (SHY-town).
