Garden Wall, Monet's Garden, Giverny, France

Photography is an enjoyable part of my vacations and weekend excursions. My wife and I spent a week in Paris and the surrounding area a few years ago. It was April, and early in the week the city was gray with a bit of rain (but still gorgeous). On a day trip to Monet's house and garden in Giverny, this was one of the first scenes we encountered as we entered the garden. The sun was out, the flowers were in bloom, and the colors were striking, particularly for April. It was so fitting for Monet's garden, and it was one of the most memorable experiences of the trip.
