Innovation Design & Implementation Science

The Innovation Design & Implementation Science (IDIS) Core offers the following resources:

Innovation Design

Multi-disciplinary experts provide individual consultations to increase use of collaborative design methods in diabetes translation research and catalyze new forms of collaboration. Consultations address:

  • How to use collaborative design frameworks to adapt evidence-based interventions and improve and support their implementation in varied practice settings
  • How to develop adjunctive interventions and implementation strategies to maximize implementation feasibility, sustainability, and effectiveness

Implementation Science Methods & Frameworks

Experts provide access to workshops, consultation, mentoring, and technical assistance in the use of tools and frameworks for:

  • Planning and organizing implementation strategies to address needs and achieve relevant outcomes in specific implementation settings and contexts
  • Measuring and evvaluating implementation determinants and outcomes.
  • Designing and conducting hybrid studies that evaluate both implementation and effectiveness
