Research

A high-quality environment for cutting-edge research.

Areas of Focus

Rhythm Control

Our scientists are actively working to develop new antiarrhythmic drugs that are both safe and effective. They are also studying how to improve the current techniques for mapping the origins of atrial fibrillation (AFib), targeting the physiologic substrate of AFib and stratifying patients for likelihood of response to various ablation strategies.

Stroke Prevention

Center members are studying how we assess stroke risk and prevent stroke. They are actively working on advances in implantable and wearable technology that may limit long-term exposure to anticoagulation.
