Mechthild Esser Nemmers Prize in Medical Science

 

The Mechthild Esser Nemmers Prize in Medical Science is awarded to a biomedical researcher whose body of work exhibits outstanding achievement in medical science, as demonstrated by works of lasting significance. This biennial prize of $350,000 is one of the five Nemmers Prizes administered by Northwestern University.

The Mechthild Esser Nemmers Prize is awarded every two years by Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. The prize is made possible by a generous endowment to Northwestern by Erwin and Frederic Esser Nemmers. The Nemmers Prize in Medical Science was founded in honor of their mother, Mechthild Esser Nemmers.
