I believe we can make significant improvements in the long term outcomes of young patients with cardiomyopathy, in terms of their quality of life, and survival. As the medical director of transplant/heart failure, I am committed to studying the clinical aspects of pediatric heart transplantation, particularly in improving the late outcomes that impact on survival, such as allograft vasculopathy and late rejection. In addition, i am interested in the succesful transition of adolescents/young adults to adult centers. I have a long standing interest in Kawasaki Disease, which overlaps with my research interest in coronary abnornailties in transplanted patients and in congenital coronary anomalies.[Shorten text]
