Matias is originally from Argentina but grew up in New York and went to NYU where he studied Finance, Management, and Chemistry as an undergraduate. Before matriculating at Feinberg, he worked for two years as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Mount Sinai on a project that looked at PTSD and asthma among World Trade Center first responders. He is passionate about community engagement and the role that the physician plays both in caring for patients as well as maintain the health of the broader communities they serve. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, making coffee and visiting coffee shops, reading, and trying all of the amazing food that Chicago has to offer!
Lauren Kwa is first-year medical student from Orlando, Florida. She attended Stanford University and graduated with a degree in Human Biology. In her free time, she enjoys writing, practicing hot yoga, eating tacos, and spending time outdoors. She is excited to take on the role of KYHH treasurer and engage with the Chicago community.
Ana Reyes is the community site coordinator for KYHH and a first-year medical student. She grew up in Buffalo, New York and went to college at the University of Michigan where she studied engineering. She is interested in public health and using technology to advance health equity. In her free time, she enjoys trying new foods, watching Netflix, and traveling.
Christopher Song is the Resource Coordinator for KYHH. He grew up in San Diego, CA and attended Pomona College where he was involved with neuroscience research and Asian American Studies. After graduating, he worked at the National Institute of Mental Health and studied the genetic basis of mood disorders. In his free time, Christopher enjoys playing music and watching reality TV.
Carrie Stump is the academic coordinator for KYHH. Originally from Portland, Oregon, she came to Feinberg by way of Washington University in St. Louis where she graduated with a BA in biology with a concentration in microbiology and a minor in anthropology. As an undergraduate, Carrie tutored middle school students studying science and was a teaching assistant for the Washington University organic chemistry course. Carrie is passionate about public health. As a result, she founded and is the executive director of The David Lloyd Foundation. In her free time, Carrie enjoys baking, photography, and traveling.
Maria Hanna is an M1 from Naperville, IL. She attended Illinois Wesleyan University as an undergraduate and majored in Biology and Hispanic Studies. At Feinberg, she is interested in pursuing opportunities in global health, and is also involved in the Chicago Youth Program pediatric clinic and in teaching Adolescent Medicine courses. In her free time she enjoys reading, exploring the city, and trying new foods. She is very excited to be a part of KYHH and to serve communities throughout Chicago.
Data and Technology Coordinator
Wadsworth is a first-year medical student originally from Los Angeles. He majored in chemical and biomolecular engineering at Johns Hopkins. He has an interest in the intersection of lifestyle and medicine and enjoys helping patients find creative and enjoyable ways to improve their diet and exercise. He learned new cooking techniques through the culinary medicine elective at Feinberg and spends his free time trying out new recipes, playing guitar, and reading.
