Comprehensive Hands-On Training in a True Multi-Disciplinary Setting

Teaching clinically at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Children's Memorial Hospital, the Comprehensive Transplant Center of Northwestern University'sFeinberg School of Medicine is the largest living donor kidney transplant program in North America for the last 3 years.We are also the volume leader in kidney, liver and pancreas patient waitlisting.Our abdominal transplant program includes:kidney (living and deceased donor), liver (living and deceased donor), pancreas, islet cell, small bowelWe have been performing laparoscopic live donor nephrectomies since 1997.Children's Memorial Hospital transplant program joined our program in 1997 to create a combined transplantation initiative allowing adult living organ donation to children.

Our CTC faculty, headed by Dr. Michael Abecassis, have earned the reputation as national leaders in transplantation, research, and multi-disciplinary clinical care.Our transplant fellowships provide the best possible training experience for the next generation of transplant physicians.
