The Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, comprised of seven physicians and three PhD investigators, provides a wide range of clinical services and research for women with various gynecologic, hormonal, and reproductive disorders, including a highly successful in vitro fertilization program. In addition to their teaching responsibilities at the medical school, faculty members are engaged in a number of clinical research projects.
A variety of educational opportunities exist at all levels within the division, affording scholars the opportunity to learn about various issues surrounding research and clinical treatment of conditions related to reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Four-week rotations are available to fourth-year medical students. The division also offers a three-year fellowship. In addition to their clinical and research activities, fellows are also enrolled in the Master of Science in Clinical Investigation program, with the aim of gaining the in-depth training required to successfully design and conduct a broad spectrum of research studies.
Faculty and staff members in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility conduct a wide range of clinical research studies. Most studies relate directly to our infertility program and concern new treatments for patients requiring in vitro fertilization (IVF) or patients requiring fertility preservation strategies.
Faculty and staff members in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility provide clinical services seven days a week caring for women with a variety of gynecological disorders. The program has a robust IVF practice, with faculty and staff members conducting more than 500 oocyte retrievals per year, as well as intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), and preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD).
