James E. Eckenhoff Research Fund
The James E. Eckenhoff Research Fund was created by Jim Eckenhoff in honor of his father, James E. Eckenhoff, founder and first Chair for the Department of Anesthesiology. The purpose of the award is to promote resident education in the research process from the inception of the idea, through written proposal and IRB approval to the completion of the study and publication of a manuscript. Up to $3000 will be made available annually for the James E. Eckenhoff Residents Research Award.
In Jim Eckenhoff’s words: “The goal of creating this award is not only to stimulate residents and fellows to think, seek answers to questions and to become involved in clinical investigation, but to also encourage departmental faculty to be similarly stimulated by projects proposed by the trainees.”
