Northwerstern's Anesthesiology has graduated the most number of Neurosurgical Anesthesiology Fellows in the country since 2009 according to a recent article in Journal of Neurosurgical Anesthesiology.

The ASA endorsed the Northwestern Center for Clinical Simulation to provide simulation courses to ABA Diplomates in order to satisy the Practice Performance Assessment and Improvement requirement for MOCA®.
The Northwestern Center for Clinical Simulation (NCCS) is an endorsed program of the American Society of Anesthesiologists' Simulation Education Network.
The Department of Anesthesiology joins 17 other medical centers as being among the first to receive this endorsement. The NCCS will offer simulation training for American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) Diplomates seeking to satisfy ABA requirements for Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology (MOCA®).
